The Holiday Season will officially begin in the City of Pico Rivera with the City’s annual Holiday and Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, November 22, on the grounds of City Hall from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The popular wintry event will include an Elves Arts & Crafts Workshop for Kids, Face Painting and balloon art by Elves, and a Holiday Vendor Fair. City Hall will also be transformed into a Winter Wonderland, complete with a FREE snow toss area and snow play area; so be sure to bring your snow boots and mittens.
In addition to the snow play area, entertainment will feature live performances beginning at 5:00 p.m. City officials and the community will come together for the official Tree Lighting Ceremony that will take place from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
“This event is something that our community looks forward to. It has become part of many
families’ Holiday traditions,” said City Manager Steve Carmona. “And it means something to
all of us here in the City. We are excited to share it with our community and our neighbors,” said Carmona.
The Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony is FREE. There will be minimal fees for some activities, and only cash will be accepted.
Although several of this year’s participating vendors accept digital forms of payment, it is still advisable to bring cash, just in case digital payment methods are not working.
Please note that Passons Boulevard will be closed between Wampler and Marjorie Streets from 7:00 a.m. to midnight to accommodate the Winter event. Parking will be available along residential streets and at El Rancho High School’s east lot.
